‘Baphumelele ‘s Educare' Care Centre has been a provider of quality and affordable education to countless children since its inception in 1989. Throughout the years, the centre has gone through minor changes to keep it up with the growing number of scholars, currently that number is over 200 children who range from 6moths – 6years. After so many years, the Educare' Care Centre is finally getting the renovation worthy of the education it provides together with the help of our Partners, Friends and Funders, we have managed to make the vision Mama Rosie had, a reality.
Make the vision that Mama Rosie had, a reality. The journey was not an easy one thus far. With the renovations commencing after years of lockdown due to the global pandemic, we did not want to keep children away from school any longer than they should. As such, we devised a plan to house the scholars in different buildings of Baphumelele while construction continued. We are happy to announce that in the new year, we will be formally opening the new EduCare Centre Building. Students will have the learning space that can accommodate all of their educational needs. All of this would not have been possible without the visionary leadership of our Founder, Mama Rosie, our dedicated staff and of course our partners and Friends who continuously support Baphumelele.
Festive Season Donation Drive
Every year, thanks to many generous donors, we are able to have Christmas Celebration, and 2021 was no different. We feel that it is very imported for our children to have regular childhood experiences and not miss out on celebrations just because of their situations.
Christmas time increases magical memories for our children all over the world and for our children it is no different As a charity Organization which rely on donation, we would be so grateful if good Samaritans would sponsor or donate the following: Christmas Clothes
Red Meat Sausage Snack and so much more to assist us make this Christmas possible for these children.
Children’s Home Renovations
Baphumelele children’s Home from humble beginnings, more than three decades ago, Baphumelele Children’s Home has been providing a safe and nurturing home for thousands of children in need. Since its inception in 1989, the various buildings which house all of our kids have increased due to the growing number of intakes. Just like any building or home, from time to time maintaince and renovations are necessary. All of our houses accommodate children based on their age groups to ensure appropriate development across all levels. To begin with, the baby house, and cluster1&2 are currently undergoing renovations.
These renovations will include new furnishing, roof repairs and/ or replacements, and extension of the buildings themselves, to create an even better living environment. All of this is made possible by the generous donation and founding from our friends.
